Image and Source Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

Image Sources

MotorLinks uses images from manufacturer media sites, official press kits, public-domain or appropriately licensed sources, credited editorial sources where permitted, and site-created visuals. We aim to use images that directly help readers understand the vehicle, technology, or story.

Credits and Captions

When an image comes from an automaker, media partner, public source, or third-party outlet, we try to identify that source in the article, caption, alt text, or nearby context. Captions should not imply that MotorLinks photographed a vehicle unless that is true.

Generated or Composite Images

MotorLinks may use generated, composite, or site-created images when no suitable real-world image is available or when the visual is clearly conceptual. Generated images should not be described as official photography or as photos of an unrevealed production vehicle.

Corrections and Takedowns

If an image is miscredited, used incorrectly, or should be removed, contact editorial@motorlinks.net with the article URL, image description, and supporting details.

Source Links

For article claims, MotorLinks favors source links that readers can inspect: automaker releases, regulator pages, price sheets, filings, official specifications, and reputable reporting. We avoid unsupported social posts, low-quality aggregators, and unverifiable claims unless the article is specifically about those claims and labels them appropriately.
